Rising trend of Covid-19 continues as figures cross 250 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 continued to show a rising trend in Odisha with positive cases crossing 250 in the State here today.

As per the latest official data, Odisha recorded 258 Covid positive cases out of 6279 new samples tested on Friday, all of which are between 0-18 years of age. While the current number of active cases are 1186 in the State, there have been 173 new recoveries against cumulative 13,28,022 recoveries. There has been one fatality due to the virus taking the total Covid-19 death toll to 9207.

Meanwhile, the Health department has cautioned people to adhere to Covid-appropriate behaviour like washing hands regularly, wearing masks and avoiding crowded places besides getting tested and isolating if they develop flu-like symptoms. The government will decide on lockdown and Covid-dedicated hospitals as per the demands of the situation, official sources said.
