While the police have made one-way traffic system from Bhubaneswar to Puri to control heavy vehicular rush, collection of toll duty at a number of toll gates would create jams as over thousands of vehicles would be detained.
Keeping this in view, it has been decided to stop collection of toll duty from these gates during Rath Yatra, Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha of the deities on June 29July 7 and July 9 respectively.
It may be mentioned that under the one-way traffic system, the Puri-bound vehicles from Bhubaneswar will take the route via Pipili and Sakhigopal. On the return journey, the Bhubaneswar-bound vehicles will have to take the route of Konark, Gop and Nimapara.
