Robbers loot Rs 19 lakh at gunpoint from Odisha bank

Joda, Feb 1:

Armed robbers in broad daylight today looted a bank at gunpoint in Joda in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

Four armed robbers at around 3PM today robbed Rs 19 lakh at gunpoint from the cash counter of Andhra Bank located in the highly populous market area of Joda, reports said.

The robbers who were speaking in Hindi have also decamped with the hard disk of the CCTV of the bank. One of the robbers was wearing a mask on his face, reports added.

Police suspects the looters to have come from neighbouring Jharkhand and has sealed the district’s border to prevent the robbers from escaping into the neighbouring state.

Police has launched a manhunt to nab the robbers.
