The Bhubaneswar-based SAI International School of Odisha has been awarded National Quality Accreditation by the National Bureau of Education and Training (NABET) at the inaugural session of 9th National Quality Conclave 2014 in New Delhi held on April 15.
Chairman of the school Bijoy K Sahoo received the honour.
SAI’s world class quality initiatives and the processes it has laid down in all its activities came in for applaud at the conclave. SAI also has a unique ERP in place for supervision and surveillance for its processes, the Conclave was informed.
The extensive audit and beneficiary survey by NABET on the school placed SAI at a very high level of Quality Index after a thorough assessment of various verticals like management leadership, academics, infrastructure, hygiene, safety and precautionary measures, teaching-learning processes, mission-vision-values, performance management and admission procedures.
The accreditation has benchmarked the school against the best in the education sector for capacity development, for delivering quality education, quality improvement in existing school system/ process, proven and predictable model to run the school and global standards applied for the local and national school needs.
Among others, Amitabh Kant, secretary, DIPP, Dr Kasturi Rangan, former chairman, ISRO and member, Planning Commission, Arun Maria, member Planning Commission and Padmashri Analjit Singh, chairman Max India addressed the Conclave which was jointly organized by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Quality Council of India.
Around 600 delegates from all the states of India participated in the Conclave.
The theme of the 9th National Quality Conclave was “Build and sustain a culture of excellence through collaborative efforts”.
Surrounding the theme, present case studies of best practices in a wide range of fields like public services, healthcare, education and industry were presented.
The Conclave provided valuable inputs to participants from all sectors and influenced the development of a culture of excellence in our country.
The National Quality Conclave is the annual event of the Quality Council of India.
The first Conclave was held in 2006.
The conclave acts as a platform for sharing new ideas, and involve in active discussion about promoting and achieving support from all stakeholders to improve quality.
The news made me proud that a school just set up a year ago achieved this milestone. But unfortunately common man cannot afford to send their children to this school.
