SBI office sealed in Odisha capital as many staff test COVID-19 positive

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sealed the office of State Bank of India (SBI)-Centralised Clearing Processing Cell (CCPC) at Sriya Square in Kharavel Nagar here for four days from today after many of its staff contracted COVID-19.

“In large public interest and to contain further spread of virus, SBI (CCPC) at Sriya Square is hereby sealed for a period of four days from April 29 to May 2,” said the order issued by the BMC.

As per the order, premises of the office will be sanitized with immediate effect by the Head of the office in strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. Besides, no one will be allowed to move into or from outside the premises of the office during the period of sealing, except authorised personnel of BMC.

The infectees have been asked to remain under isolation at their respective residences. Further, if any patient needs medical attention, the Head of the  office will intimate the same to BMC immediately.

The Head of the office has also been directed to inform the BMC if any symptoms are observed in other staff for their testing.
