SBI opens 718th branch in state

The State Bank of India (SBI) opened its 718th branch in Odisha with the inauguration of its new branch near the Sum Hospital in the city here.

MD and group executive (International Banking) of corporate centre, Mumbai Hemant G Contractor inaugurated the branch in the presence of chief general manager Krishna Mohan Trivedi and GM Rajiv Verma on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Contractor hoped that the branch would cater to the needs of local population and distributed cheques for a few housing and car loans sanctioned by the branch along with passbooks of newly opened savings bank accounts.

Trivedi assured that the bank would render full range of services and sell all kinds of banking and para-banking products like insurance and mutual funds.
