In a significant development in the SCB Medical College and Hospital newborn theft incident, the Cuttack SDJM court today allowed the Twin City Commissionerate police to conduct DNA test of the two infants and their parents.

With that, process for the DNA test started as police collected blood samples of the two babies and the two couples.

The newborns would be handed over to their respective biological parents after completion of the DNA test, police had said.

The Mangalabag police had moved the Cuttack SDJM court on March 14 seeking permission for the test.
