Section 144 of CrPC clamped in Dhamnagar of Odisha’s Bhadrak district was today revoked by the district administration.

The administration announced withdrawal of the prohibitory orders from 10 am today.

Notably, section 144 was imposed in Dhamnagar Chhak, NAC area, Bhagbanpur, Palikiri and Dobala Bazaar since April 29 as tension erupted over a fire outbreak in Dhamnagar Bazaar.

Some unidentified miscreants had reportedly torched four houses located in Dhamnagar Bazaar on the night of April 28 which led to tension in the area.
