Security beefed up in Odisha Capital for elections tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of third phase elections in the State Capital tomorrow.

A five-layer security ring will be thrown around the Capital city tomorrow during the voting. Total 30 platoons of police force and six companies of paramilitary forces will be engaged to avoid any untoward incident during the voting.

Sources said out of the 1,156 polling booths, 383 stations have been identified as sensitive. Total seven Assembly segments under Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha Constituency will go to polls in third phase elections tomorrow.

Worth mentioning, the elections will be held in 42 Assembly segments under six Lok Sabha Constituencies-Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal.
