Servitor injured as portion of idol inside Puri Srimandir falls on him

Puri: A servitor of Srimandir here sustained injuries after a portion of an idol at Ugra Nrushingha temple inside the shrine fell on him today.

The injured identified as Kunu Mohapatra has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here for treatment.

As per reports, a portion of Hiranyakashyap idol at Ugra Nrushingha temple located near Paschima Dwara of the centuries-old shrine fell on the servitor’s leg when he was inside the temple early this morning. He bled profusely due to the mishap and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
