Odisha police on Saturday busted a dacoit gang in Ganjam district and arrested its five members in connection with the loot of Rs 91,000 from a private finance company agent on August 17.
As per sources, police nabbed the dacoits for their alleged complicity in the case registered with Kodala Police Station. Police seized Rs 42,000, a revolver and a bike from their possession.
In another incident, Rourkela police today nabbed two youths of a motor cycle theft gang and seized three stolen vehicles with a countrymade gun.
The arrested have been identified as Sanjay Choudhury and Sidhu Tanti and both belong to Rourkela city, said Bondamunda IIC Sushant Das.
