Seven critical as LPG cylinder explodes inside house in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: As many as seven persons sustained critical burn injuries as an LPG cylinder exploded inside a house at Gambharimunda village under Banpur police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district, today.

According to reports, the cylinder caught fire this morning due to LPG leakage when cooking was underway at the house of one Rabindra Pradhan of the village.

Some neighbours rushed to the spot to douse the flame, during which the cylinder exploded leaving a member of the family and six persons of the village injured.

They were initially rushed to local hospitals and later shifted to various healthcare facilities in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.

Their condition was stated to be critical, reports said.
