Severe heatwave condition likely to grip Odisha from April 25

Bhubaneswar: Several places in interior parts of the State are likely to reel under severe heatwave conditions in next two to three days. The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar today forecasted day temperature is very likely to gradually rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha in coming days.

The meteorological centre also mentioned in its weather bulletin that no large change will occur in the coastal Odisha during next three days.

From 8:30 AM on April 25 to 8:30 AM on April 26, the meteorological centre predicted that heatwave condition is likely to prevail at one or two place over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh and Balangir. The yellow warning has been issued for the districts.

It added from 8:30 AM on April 26 to 8:30 AM on April 27, heatwave condition will be experienced at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir and Mayurbhanj.

Heatwave condition is likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Mayurbhanj and Kalahandi from 8:30 AM on April 27 to 8:30 AM on April 28, the meteorological centre added.

The yellow warning has been issued for the districts along with the forecast.

Today, Bhubaneswar, the Odisha’s Capital recorded the season’s highest day temperature at 41.7 degrees Celsius. Cuttack was at 41 degrees Celsius.
