Sex racket busted in Odisha’s Baripada; 32 detained

Baripada: In a major crackdown on sex rackets in Baripada town, police raided three lodges late last night and detained 32 persons on charges of their involvement in immoral activities.

Acting as per the Mayurbhanj SP’s directive, three teams of Baripada Sadar police station searched Krishna, Sri Krishna and Shanti lodges located in the town and detained 30 persons including 15 women. Also, cops detained two staff of the lodges for questioning.

Mobile phones, cash and several objectionable items were seized during the search at the lodges.

After registering a case, police have launched a probe into the matter.
