Bhubaneswar: The three women of Thailand, who were rescued yesterday by the Twin City Commissionerate police after busting of a sex racket in Odisha capital, are likely to be in trouble as the police might lodge FIR against them.

“They had come to India on tourist visa. However, their involvement in the incident is a violation of the Passports Act. We might lodge FIR against them for violating the passport norms,” said Police Commissioner YB Khurania speaking to reporters here today.

The police official also said that the owner of the house in which the spa was operating, the tenant and middleman are under the purview of the investigation. Further probe into the matter is on, he added.

Worth mentioning, a sex racket running at a spa in Kharvel Nagar area of Bhubaneswar was busted yesterday and five women and four persons were arrested in this connection.

The illegal flesh trade was allegedly going on in a rented house on the pretext of massage service. Reports said, acting on a tip-off about the sex racket, a team of police posing as customers reached the house and managed to bust it.

A register bearing the names of other persons who had come to the spa has also been seized by police, reports added.
