Sex racket: Odisha police directs 8 Thai women to leave country

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police today directed eight Thai women, who were rescued after a raid at a spa in Odisha capital where a sex racket was operating, to leave the country by today evening.

A team of Capital Police Station, acting on a tip-off about the sex racket running at H2O Spa in Bapuji Nagar here, had raided the place on May 19 and rescued the eight foreigners engaged in the flesh trade.

Several objectionable articles were also seized from the spot.

In a similar incident, the Commissionerate Police had last year issued notice to three Thai women to leave the country after their involvement in a sex racket running at a spa located at Kharvel Nagar here came to fore.
