Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered a sharp dip in daily COVID-19 cases as 5891 persons tested positive for the virus in the state during the last 24 hours. A day before, the figure stood at 7291.
Out of the 5891 cases, 852 are children below 18 years of age. While a total of 59,807 samples were tested in the state yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 9.85%.
Khurda district registered highest 1500 fresh infections, followed by Sundargarh (501) and Cuttack (482).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state rose to 1217842 with 77340 active cases.
