Shocking! Man hacks brother to death, kills self in Odisha

Kandhamal:  A man allegedly hacked his cousin brother to death and then killed himself today in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

The shocking incident took place at Udayagiri Village in Lankagarh panchayat under Belaghar police limits of the district.

According to sources, Tikiri Beheradalaie attacked Gobardhana Beheradalie with an axe after a heated argument between the two. The later died on the spot. Few minutes later, Tikiri hanged himself to the death.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot and seized the two bodies and sent them to the hospital for postmortem.

Though the exact reason is not known, sources said the incident was a fallout of the past enmity between the two. Locals claim that the accused was mentally unstable.

Meanwhile, police has launched an investigation into the matter.
