Shocking! Man throws physically challenged son into oven in Odisha

Malkangiri: In a shocking and equally inhuman act, a drunken man in a fit of rage allegedly threw his four-year-old physically challenged son into an oven in Mangipalli village under Kalimela block in Odisha’s Malkangiri district today.

According to reports, the four-year-old child has been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kalimela with 50 percent burns by his mother with the help of the local ASHA health worker while the accused –the father of the child has absconded after the incident.

The accused who was drunk allegedly had a spat with his wife got hold of his physically challenged son who was sitting beside him and threw the child into an oven outside the house resulting in serious injuries, reports added.

However, no complaint has been registered with the police in connection with the incident.
