Shocking! Odisha man kills parents over property dispute

Jeypore: A person of Jayanagar area here in Odisha’s Koraput district was arrested for allegedly murdering his parents over property dispute.

Latif Rehman, the accused, confessed during interrogation that he killed his father M K Rehman, a retired police sub-inspector, and his mother Fakiza Bibi by thrashing the couple with an iron rod, police sources said.

The duo was found dead inside their house with the bodies lying in a pool of blood and bearing grievious injuries on March 9.

The accused was upset after his father denied to hand over the parental property to him, for which he committed the murder, said Jeypore SDPO Sagarika Nath.
