Significant fall in temperature in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 5:

Most parts of Odisha today witnessed a drastic fall in the temperature levels as only two places recorded over 40 degree Celsius.Weather

Bhawanipatna recorded the highest temperature at 41.2 degree, followed by Titlagarh with 40.5 while mercury slumped by nearly 4-6 degree in Baleswar (34), Chandbali (36.6), Bhubaneswar (39.3), Angul (37.7), Jharsuguda (37.4), Keonjhar (35.5), Sambalpur (39.5), Sundargarh (37), Hirakud (38.1), Talcher (38.8), Bolangir (39), Phulbani (33.6), Malkangiri (36.4) and Sonepur (38).

The local Met office has predicted Norwesters at some places and rain or thundershower over some parts of the coastal and interior districts in the next 72 hours under the influence of a trough line formed across Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

The Met office has, however, warned that the temperature would go up again in the state after May 8.
