Skill development training for 11 lakh Odisha youth in 5 years

In order to generate more employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, the Odisha government today decided to implement a new scheme christened ‘Mukhyamantri Nijukti Srusti Yojana’ in the state.

14-8-2014=1This was decided at a high level meeting presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here.

Under the new scheme, a target has been set to provide skill development training to 11 lakh men and women in five years.

Priority would be given to men and women from rural areas.

The scheme would be monitored and supervised by the Employment Training and Technical Education (ET&TE) department while the chief minister would review the scheme every two months.
