SOA University celebrates Independence Day in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Aug 15:  The SOA University of Odisha celebrated the 68th Independence Day at its premises today.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof RP Mohanty unfurled the tri-colour and took the salute at the ceremonial march past by students of different institutes under the University.
Students of nine institutes, a platoon each of NCC and NSS cadets as well as a contingent of student RJs linked to the University’s community radio station, participated in the parade.

A three-member jury comprising former IG of Police, BK Tripathy, Col (Retd) Sukumar Sahu and Col (Retd) Madhusudan Das witnessed the parade and adjudged the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL) as the best outfit followed by the School of Hotel Management (SHM) and Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) who took the second and third prize respectively.

Vice chairman of the University Prof BK Saraf, deans and associate deans of different institutes and senior officials were present on the occasion.

The program was conducted by Rusi Patnaik.
