Editor of ‘Sambad’ Soumya Ranjan Patnaik was conferred with the Ramesh Chandra Mohanty Memorial Award-2013 on Friday.

Patnaik received the award, instituted by Ramesh Chandra Mohanty Memorial Trust, from Akshaya Kumar Mohanty at a function held at Badamachhapur High School premises.

Among others, Nimapara MLA Samir Ranjan Das, Ama Odisha secretary Swaraj Mishra, eminent freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Patnaik, sarpanch Bhagyadhar Khatoi, lawyer Sudhir Mohanty and headmaster of the high school Nrusingha Prasad Sahu were present.

On the occasion, three toppers of this year’s High School Certificate examinations- Subhasmita, Hritik Das and Bhagyadhar Pradhan- were awarded with cash prizes and citations.
