Special Odisha JEE for vacant BDS seats held

The special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) for admissions to vacant Bachelor in Dental Sciences (BDS) seats in different medical colleges in the state was held at two centres here today.

Students who appeared for the special entrance examination expressed satisfaction over their performance and were hopeful of getting admissions.

“Questions were not that tough. Questions in the biology part were very good. I have performed well and hope to get selected. The exam was overall good,” said an examinee after appearing in the special OJEE.

“Questions were easy. Overall I have performed well,” said another examinee.

It may be mentioned here that a division bench of the High Court comprising Justice I Mohanty and Justice BP Choudhury on Tuesday (Sep 22) had directed OJEE authorities to conduct a special entrance examination for BDS seats lying vacant in different private medical colleges across the state and complete the exams and counselling by September 30.

The court had issued the order for a special entrance examination while adjudicating on a petition filed by the All Odisha Private Medical and Dental College Association.
