Special OJEE for vacant seats in Odisha held

Bhubaneswar, Sept 7:

The Special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)  for the vacant seats in engineering, MBA and MCA courses in various colleges across the state was held this morning .

The hour-long examination, which began at 11 AM, was conducted at 16 centres in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Sambalpur and Baleswar.

A total of 10,871 students  appeared in the examination.

This year, around 33,000 BTech, 3,420 MBA and 2,417 seats have remained vacant after the counselling for JEE (Main) qualifiers.

The results of the examination would be announced on September 9 after which the qualified candidates can download their rank card from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in and later register for counselling that would be held from September 10 to 12.

The admission would be concluded by September 15.

This year, around 33,000 B.Tech, 3420 MBA and 2417 seats have remained vacant after the counselling for the JEE (Main) qualifiers.

It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court had recently directed the OJEE authorities to conduct a special test to fill up the vacancies.
