Spot counseling for seats lying vacant in medical colleges in Odisha will be held on September 29, informed Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authorities here on Sunday.

While vacant MBBS seats will be filled up using the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) rankings, vacant BDS seats will be filled up on the basis of rankings obtained by the aspirants at the special OJEE conducted in the state on Sunday, said OJEE officials.

On completion of third round of counseling, two seats each in MBBS at the SCB Medical College, Cuttack and MKCG Medical College, Brahmapur remain to be filled up while 38 seats are lying vacant in Hitech Medical College, official sources said.

Besides, 16 BDS seats remain to be filled up in SCB Medical College and 73 in Hitech Medical College, the sources added.
