Sr Women’s National Football: Odisha drub Mizoram 3-0

Odisha thrashed Mizoram by 3-0 goals in their first match in the 20th Senior Women’s National Football Championship in Dibrugarh (Assam) today.

The state team drew the first blood in the second minute after Jabamanai Soren’s kick from 15 yards beat the Mizoram goalkeeper.

Odisha increased the lead in the 62nd minute through Gayatri Mallick’s brilliant 25-yard kick while Menaka Malik scored the third goal in the 75th minute.

Odisha meets Haryana on Wednesday.
