Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet today approved a proposal on restructuring of cadre of the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS). With the restructuring, a total of 220 new posts at OAS level will be created.
As per the General Administration and Public Grievance Department’s proposal that received the Cabinet approval, the strength of OAS officers will be increased to 2,123 from 1,903.
In case of OAS Group-A (SB) grade, the strength will be increased to 385 from the existing strength 330. In OAS (Supertime scale) grade, the strength will be increased to 270 from 235 and in case of OAS (Superior Administrative grade) the strength will be augmented to 215 from 125.
The Cabinet decided to create 40 new posts in case of OAS (Special Secretary) from existing strength 25.
However, the cabinet kept the OAS Group-A (JB) grade’s existing strength unchanged at 1188.
