State Police Housing Coporation donates Rs 1 cr for relief

Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: The Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OSPHWC) has contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for relief and rehabilitation of cyclone and flood victims of the state.

The Corporation has also released Rs 5 lakh for running a community kitchen for affected persons in Ganjam district under the banner of Karuna in partnership with the State Police and Rs 7.25 lakh for welfare of affected persons of the Police, Home Guards, Fire and Prison departments, a release by the Corporation said.

Besides, the Corporation has also committed to reconstruct a either a damaged school, hospital or a community building at a cost of Rs 50 lakh in Ganjam district, the release added.
