Stevedoring paralysed at Odisha’s Paradip port after cease work strike

Paradip: Loading and unloading cargo from ships came to a grinding halt at Odisha’s Paradip port due to cease work agitation by stevedores.

Goods loading and unloading work in 14 ships got affected today due to the stir.

Notably, helpers working in the Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) have been demanding operator status for them, which has led to the deadlock at the port.

The port authorities have directed to resolve the matter through dialogues with the agitators.
