Strengthen party from booth level, BJP Mahila Morcha chief tells state leaders

National Mahila Morcha president of BJP Saroj Pandey today directed the state leadership to take a lesson from the debacle in the recent municipal elections and strengthen the party organisation from the booth level upwards and reach out to prospective voters from all segments and age groups of women to score big in the ensuing general election.

“We will assess the state of the Mahila Morcha in the state and rectify possible mistakes. The organization of Mahila Morcha will be strengthened from the booth level ahead of general elections, which will be fought under the leadership of Narendra Modi,” said Pandey, who attended the first meeting of the state executive committee of Mahila Morcha here today.

The party has decided to constitute women’s committees from booth level.

Replying to questions about the debacle in the polls for urban local bodies, she said the party will return to the election field with renewed vigour and exuded confidence that the party would do well in future elections.

BJP president Rajnath Singh had on Tuesday advised senior leaders of the state unit to widen their public relation activities to strengthen the party ahead of the Assembly and General elections. Among the leaders who met Singh at the extended executive meeting at Kolkata yesterday were Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Jual Oram, KV Singhdeo, Bijay Mohapatra, Suresh Pujari, Prasanna Mishra, Jaynarayan Mishra and Dharmendra Pradhan.

Meanwhile, state BJP president KV Singhdeo today informed that Gujarat Chief Minister and party’s Prime Ministerial candidate would address a public rally in the state November.

The party president asked the workers to make meticulous preparations to make the rally a huge success. Senior leader Venkaiah Naidu is likely to visit the state on October 7-8.
