Sub-inspectors to be in charge of police outposts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Sub-Inspectors (SIs) will be in the charge of 216 police outposts in Odisha. A proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Earlier, the Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) were heading the outposts.

It is expected that training and crime investigation skills of the SIs will be helpful in curbing crimes at the police outpost-level.
