Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board (OWSSB) today invited tender for diversion of waste water at Bankimuhan as a permanent solution to the problem.
Notably, Patnaik launched his sit-in dharna on Tuesday in protest against the beach pollution near Bankimuhan. Two days later, he was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar as he fell ill. However, his students continued with the protest.
After discharge from the hospital on Friday, Patnaik continued his protest and finally called off today.
