Sudarsan’s sandy take on World Water Day

Continuing his habit of coming up with something special to mark every important occasion, acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture titled ‘Water is Life’ at the Puri beach on the eve of World Water Day on Saturday.

The sculpture shows a parched earth sticking out its tongue for a drop of water.

The vast expanse of the sea in the background provided the perfect contrast to the acute crisis scarcity facing the world.
