Summer cricket camp in Bhubaneswar from May 5

To identify young talents, one of the leading Odisha sports bodies, Bhubaneswar Athletic Association (BAA), will organize a six-week-long cricket coaching camp from May 5 at Unit–1 High School ground here.

The camp, to be conducted by well-known coach Lalit Mohanty, will have boys and girls in the under-14 and above 15-year age groups.

The morning session- from 6 AM to 8 AM – will be for U-14 boys and girls while the afternoon session- from 4 PM to 6.30 PM- will be for boys and girls of the above-15 group.

The first 10 days of the camp will impart training on swing and pace bowling, while the second and third phases will concentrate on spin and batting techniques.

Besides, there would be physical fitness and fielding practice every day.

The equipment shall be provided by the Association which has also decided to prepare a pitch for the camp as per the advice of the coach.

For registration and selection, interested boys and girls are requested to report at the venue with their own kits by 6 AM on May 5.

The registration forms will be available at Kishore Club, Unit-1, Bhubaneswar from 9 AM to 11 AM and 6 PM to 8 PM,  BAA sources informed.
