Summer vacation for all Odisha colleges from May 9 to June 18

The Higher Education department on Tuesday announced summer vacation for all colleges in Odisha from May 9 to June 18.

While notifying this in a letter to all government, non-government and aided colleges in the state, the department warned that if any college is found open during the vacation period, stern action would be taken against the concerned authorities.

The department has asked these colleges to revise their class and examination schedules accordingly. It has also directed the college authorities to make provisions for first-aid and spread awareness among the students about precautions and preventive steps to be taken to tackle heat.

Stating that the Odisha Civil Services examinations would be held during the vacation period, the department has asked the concerned principals of the colleges, identified as the centres, to make adequate provisions.
