Bhubaneswar, June 16:
In view of the ongoing heat wave in Odisha, the state government today decided to extend the summer vacation of all educational institutions by five more days.
“Keeping the searing heat wave conditions in the state in view, it has been decided in principle to extend the duration of the ongoing summer vacation in all government and non-government schools, colleges and technical institutes by five more days, till June 23”, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Mohapatra said in a release.
It may be mentioned here that all educational institutions in the state were scheduled to open on June 18 as notified earlier.
