SURYA to manufacture fans, Rs 400 cr revenue in 4 years is the target

The Rs 3, 800 crore conglomerate Surya group, a pioneer in the manufacturing of fluorescent lighting bulbs is all set to foray into producing fans. This will include fans ranging from ceiling, table, pedestal, wall mounted to exhaust fans.

“Built with latest technology, the company is targeting revenue of Rs 400 crores in a span of four years from domestic as well as export revenue,” Managing Director, Surya Roshni, Mr. B. Raju, said.

The group says its USP is top class technical expertise in manufacturing electrical products, which are exported to 44 countries across the globe, including environment and energy sensitive markets like Europe and the USA.

The company intends producing energy efficient fans with the least environmental pollution, Mr Raju told OST.

The prototypes for these fans have been developed at Surya Technology & Innovation Centre (STIC) and designed and developed, keeping in mind the variable voltage and power conditions in the country.

“ We will use the latest technology available in the market to ensure quality products,” he said adding, “We have a very large network of retailers spread across the country. This network of 2, 00,000 odd outlets has been a loyal base for the company’s products. This network is unbeatable in its spread and reaches right into the heart of the country,”.

The company is also leader in GI pipe category. It has a vast product line, including Tube Lights, GLS, CFL lamps, wide range of LED’s, HPSV / Metal Halide Lamps, Street Lighting and High Mast etc.
