Man impersonating as Swiggy delivery boy held for smuggling cannabis in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Excise Department officials arrested a cannabis smuggler who was smuggling the contraband in a bizarre way today.

Prema Chand Nayak, who was impersonating as a delivery boy for online food aggregator, Swiggy, was caught red-handed by the Excise Mobile Squad while trying to deliver 15 kg cannabis in Bhubaneswar.

Acting on a tip-off, the Excise officials searched the bags of Nayak and seized cannabis worth Rs 75,000 from him.

Official sources said Nayak is being questioned about since when he had been smuggling the contraband item.

Earlier, the Commissionerate Police arrested two cannabis smuggler while trying to smuggle 45 kg contraband through VRL Courier from Bhubaneswar to Delhi.
