Swine flu death toll mounts to 50 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The swine flu death toll in Odisha increased to 50 with two more persons succumbed to the deadly H1N1 virus at a private hospital here today, official sources said.

One person tested positive for H1N1 out of 19 swab samples examined at the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) today, the official said.

So far the total number of positive cases in the State increased to 386, a health department statement said.

A total of 1284 samples have so far been tested in the state.

Earlier, the state government had issued guidelines to both government and private hospitals for the treatment of swine flu patients
