Swine flu toll mounts to four in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Mar 1:

With a woman succumbing to killer swine flu in the Odisha capital, the death toll due to the disease this season in the state has risen to four, reports said.
H1N1 The 34-year old woman was undergoing treatment for the disease at a private hospital here, reports added.

The last death due to swine flu was that of Anup Kumar Sahu of Bhubaneswar on February 22.  Earlier, an employee of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Koraput Biswambar Dalabehera had died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.

The state had registered the first swine flu casualty on February 2 when Aditya Narayan Jena (42) of Khordha who had died at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Reports said 12 are currently afflicted with swine flu in the state.
