Tata provides 6, 000 tarpaulins to Odisha flood victims

Bhubaneswar, July 25:

Tata Relief Committee, which has been operating in Odisha since 1961, has come to the assistance of the flood affected people of Jajpur district. It provided 6000 tarpaulin to the flood affected people of Dasarathpur block in the district. This followed the request of Hon’ble Minister for Energy and IT, Govt. of Odisha, Pranab Prakash Das.

The tarpaulins were distributed to the affected people on 24th & 25th July 2014. Adikandha Sandhibigraha, Chairman Dasrathpur Block, Harish Charan Jena, B.D.O Dasrathpur and officials of Tata Steel were present during the distribution of tarpaulins on 24th July 2014.

Minister Das distributed the tarpaulins to the flood affected people of Dasarathapur block on 25th July 2014.

TRC has been a friend of the people of the State in times of their need whenever they have been affected by natural calamities. It had provided relief assistance to the cyclone and subsequent flood affected people of Jajpur district in October 2013 through the district administration.
