Teacher held for showing obscene photos to girl students in Odisha

In yet another incident staining the teacher-student relationship, a school teacher was detained by police for allegedly showing obscene photos to girl students through his mobile phone in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha.

The accused, identified as Prasanna Paitala, a Mathematics teacher at Malikapur High School under Balikuda police limits in the district, had reportedly shown objectionable photos to three girl students through his mobile phone after inviting them to clear their doubts related to studies.

Besides, he allegedly misbehaved with the students.

After the incident came to fore, villagers had reported the matter to the Headmaster and school managing committee.

As no action was taken against the teacher, the villagers thrashed him on the school premises.

On being informed, police reached the spot and detained the teacher for questioning.
