Tehsildar held for graft in Odisha

Vigilance department sleuths today arrested the tehsildar of Jaipatna in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on charges of accepting bribe, sources said.

The dealing clerk of the concerned tehsildar was also arrested by the Vigilance department officials, sources added.

Sources said Jaipatna tehsildar Brundaban Pati and his dealing clerk were arrested when they were caught red handed by the Vigilance department officials while Pati was accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500 from a person for issuing patta for his land.
