Temperature to rise in Odisha from March 18

Current relief from heat due to thundershowers in Odisha might not last long. The temperature of various parts of the state is currently ranging from 31 to 37 degree Celsius. But, the mercury will steadily start rising from March 18 and is expected to reach 40 degrees by March 20, according to MeT department.

Odisha residents will need to brace themselves from March 20 as the mercury is set to rise to 40 degrees, according to India Meteorological Department.

On Tuesday, Malkangiri recorded 37.6 degrees, while, Bhubaneswar was at 37.5 degrees and Angul recorded 37.1 degree Celsius.

While, Baleswar was at 35 degrees, Chandbali at 35.8 degrees while Cuttack 35.2 degrees, and Baripada measured at 35 degrees.

Yesterday night there were showers in Baleswar, Cuttack, Gopalpur, Keojhar, Sambalpur, Talcher, Bhawanipatna and various places in the state which has brought the mercury down.
