Temple priest killed in elephant attack in Odisha

In a tragic incident, a temple priest was killed in an elephant attack at Pandua in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district today.

The deceased was identified as Bhaskar Pradhan, priest of Kantioput Sahi Shiv Temple.

According to reports, Pradhan came in front of an elephant when he was going to the temple early this morning.

The pachyderm attacked the priest injuring him grievously on the spot.

Forest department staff rescued him in a critical condition and rushed him to Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital.

However, Pradhan died on the way to the hospital.
