This main market in Odisha capital to remain closed for 3 days

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today sealed the Indradhanu (ID) Market, one of the major markets in the state capital, for 24 hours for violation of COVID-19 guidelines.

As weekend shutdown is in force in all urban areas across the state, the market will remain shut for three consecutive days starting today.

“The market was sealed by the BMC for a period of 24 hours  for gross violation of COVID protocols,” informed BMC Zonal Deputy Commissioner, South-West Zone.

Yesterday, the BMC sealed Reliance Trends, a garment showroom , in Saheed Nagar area after many of its staff tested positive for the virus. Earlier on April 28, BMC sealed various markets, including Market Building, VSS Nagar market and several shops in different parts of the city for violation of COVID-19 protocols.
