Three govt employees held for submitting fake caste certificates in Odisha

Phulbani, June 5:

Within two weeks of its formation, the District Crime Cell in Odisha’s Kandhamal district today made its first breakthrough with the arrest of three persons including two Upper Primary school teachers for submitting fake caste certificates.

The arrested have been identified as Nilanchal Digal, a teacher of Kuisar Upper Primary School under Baliguda police station, Narahari Nayak, a teacher of Didrabadi UP School under Daringbadi police station and Antaryami Mallick, a driver at the CDPO office in Tumudibandha block.

It may be mentioned that the district superintendent of police Kanwar Vishal Singh had formed the District Crime Cell on May 24 this year to bring the rising crime under control, track down the absconders, investigate major theft, dacoity and fraud cases and crack down on illegal liquor trade in the district.

The Cell is headed  by the Town IIC Pramod Kumar Panigrahi and has two ASIs and four constables as part of the team.
