Three injured in bear attack in Jajpur

Jajpur, Apr 7:

Three persons were injured after being attacked by a bear in Odisha’s district headquarters town of Jajpur today.

The bear which is suspected to have strayed from the nearby Machipot forested area into the district headquarters town today attacked three persons including a woman near Chorda School in the old police station area of Jajpur town, reports said.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital at Jajpur Road.

Forest department officials are trying to rescue the bear which has fallen into a drain after attacking people, reports added.
